We had to create a machine that would separate 5 different marbles. They varied in size weight and color. The constraints were that we had to have at least 3 machines to separate them and at least 2 needed to involve sensors.

We started with a simple balance that would separtate the 2 smaller marbles. The marbles would tip the balance according to their weight. The second system was a limit switch that would be tripped when the larger of the remaining marbles which would spin a turnbuckle. Thew turnbuckle would then direct the marbleto the wheel on top of a line tracker. The line tracker senses the marbles color and that tells the wheel to send the marble the direction the color corresponds to.

We did run into some issues throughout the project. The main issues came in getting all of the program to work correctly. The program often times did not send the correct signals or the limit switch would trip when it wasn't suppossed to.

Overall, the build went well and was very easy. It was the programming that caused the issues.
